Welcoming Dr. Homyar Karanjia to the ONDAY Advisory Team

At ONDAY, we've always believed that building a truly innovative foot health company requires more than great product design, it requires collaboration with experts who dedicate their careers to helping people move better.

That's why we're incredibly excited to officially welcome Dr. Homyar Karanjia, DPM, to ONDAY as a medical advisor.

While this announcement is new, Dr. Karanjia's involvement with ONDAY actually began long before today.

A Trusted Voice in Foot & Ankle Care

Dr. Homyar Karanjia is a board-certified podiatrist specializing in podiatric sports medicine and surgery, with more than four decades of experience helping patients recover from injury, improve mobility, and maintain lifelong foot health.

Throughout his distinguished career, he treated thousands of patients including many professional and collegiate athletes suffering from everything from plantar fasciitis and tendon injuries to fractures, deformities, chronic foot pain, and sports-related injuries. He has published many peer reviewed articles and his expertise in both conservative care and surgical treatment gave him a comprehensive understanding of foot mechanics and the critical role they play in overall movement and performance.

Before retiring from clinical practice in 2026, Dr. Karanjia served as the head of the podiatric division at the Rothman Institute, one of the largest and most respected private orthopedic practices in the United States. His decades of experience in foot and ankle sports medicine, podiatric surgery, and biomechanics gave him a unique perspective on one recurring problem: many modern shoes simply don't allow feet to function the way they're naturally designed.

That philosophy aligns closely with the mission behind ONDAY.

He Was Involved Before We Ever Launched

One of the things we're most proud of is that ONDAY wasn't developed in isolation.

Before we ever introduced our shoes to the public, Dr. Karanjia personally wore and reviewed our earliest prototypes. He evaluated our approach, asked thoughtful questions, and provided valuable feedback that helped shape the product as it evolved.

His willingness to spend time with an early-stage company spoke volumes. Rather than simply offering encouragement, he challenged us to continue refining our design while staying focused on the biomechanics of healthy feet.

Those conversations became an important part of ONDAY's development and reinforced our commitment to building footwear that supports healthier movement from the ground up.

Why This Partnership Matters

From the beginning, ONDAY has had one goal:

To help people restore healthier foot function by combining the natural shape of barefoot-inspired footwear with the benefits of integrated toe spacing.

We're not interested in creating just another trendy sneaker.

We're building footwear that encourages better toe alignment, greater comfort, and healthier movement throughout everyday life and looking great while doing it.

Having a clinician with Dr. Karanjia's experience in foot and ankle sports medicine, podiatric surgery, and foot biomechanics involved in that process helps ensure we continue making decisions that put long-term foot health first.

Looking Ahead

As ONDAY grows, Dr. Karanjia will continue serving as a trusted advisor, providing clinical insight as we develop new products, educate our community, and expand our mission.

Reflecting on his decision to join ONDAY, Dr. Karanjia shared:

"I've spent my career treating the consequences of poorly designed footwear. What impressed me about ONDAY was that they weren't simply making another shoe, they were rethinking how shoes should support natural foot function. I'm excited to help guide the company as it grows."

His decades of experience treating patients and helping athletes and everyday individuals stay active bring a practical, evidence-informed perspective that perfectly complements ONDAY's mission to help people move the way nature intended by creating products that restore natural foot function and build healthier lives from the ground up.

We're honored to have him on the team and excited for what we'll build together.

Welcome to ONDAY, Dr. Karanjia.
